Is New World Graphically Demanding PC game? Yes.

So is New World a graphically demanding game? The answer is most definitely yes. Many gamers who tried out the beta of New World, an ambitious new MMO from Amazon Game Studios, reported that the game is highly graphically demanding. In some cases, even high-end gaming rigs have been unable to run the game at a satisfactory level of detail. And same goes for the retail version as well.

It’s not hard to see why New World would require a lot of horsepowers. The game features lush, detailed landscapes and realistic character models. It also requires players to navigate a complex web of social interactions with other players. All of this puts a lot of stress on your machine’s graphics card and CPU.

New World takes place in a meticulously detailed recreation of 17th-century colonial America. The game features dozens of non-player characters who are busy going about their daily lives, conducting trade, forging alliances, or waging war with other players. The developers have gone to great lengths to ensure that these interactions are convincing. According to one interview, Amazon Game Studios has a dedicated team reviewing every motion-captured animation for authenticity. They also went into considerable detail when designing each character’s face. As a result, the end goal is nothing short of total realism.

As you might imagine, this level of graphical fidelity comes at a cost. Even high-end gaming rigs may struggle with running the game at a consistent frame rate. So if you’re looking to buy New World, make sure your PC meets the following system requirements:

New World Recommended System Requirements

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows® 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K / AMD Ryzen™ 5 1400
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970 / AMD Radeon™ R9 390X or better
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Disk: SSD
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

To be honest, these official requirements for the GPU are pretty modest, but ideally, you would need at least a GeForce GTX 1660 or 1660 SUPER to achieve playable framerates with max settings. On Steam, there are some reports of compatibility issues with AMD Radeon cards. But since a large number of players has not raised this issue, it may just be anecdotal evidence.

If your machine doesn’t quite meet these specs, don’t worry. The developers have promised that they will be releasing regular updates that will improve the game’s performance on a wide range of machines. In the meantime, you may want to invest in a new graphics card or CPU if you want to get the most out of New World.

If you’re struggling to get New World to run well on your PC, there are a few things you can do. First, make sure that your system and graphics card drivers are both up to date. You can also try tweaking the game’s settings to find a balance between visual quality and performance that works for you.

Verdict

To sum up, New World definitely is a highly graphically demanding game that requires a good gaming PC to run at peak performance. However, the developers are constantly improving the game’s performance, so don’t give up hope if your rig doesn’t quite meet the recommended specs. Thanks for reading!
